About us
Links to Learning opened in September of 2005. Both learning centers were built by our very own Co-Owner Don Bell. Don and Glenda Bell are the original owners and operators of Links to Learning, and have been privileged to provide private quality childcare to the families of the Yukon and Surrey Hills Communities.
Our Mission
We believe that children learn best when their physical needs are met while feeling safe, and secure. We address physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. We are a Christian based childcare center and we incorporate prayers and biblical parables and principals into our units of study
We provide an active approach to learning. Children construct knowledge primarily through their favorite form of expression, PLAYING! Children engage in cooperative learning while interacting with materials that are shared with their classmates. Our curriculum is based on child development and the State of Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines.
Children actively engage in units of study while learning important developmental milestones such as letters, sounds, numbers, elementary math fundamentals, as well as creative expression through our arts and crafts. We believe that children learn best through creative expression and active exploration and discovery. The children love to participate in crafts, sensory bins, experiments, and our interactive learning centers. Children also begin to learn important functional milestones such as how to write, color, and even safely use craft supplies. We build our curriculum around learning letters, numbers, patterns and colors. Children also learn about special holidays as well as people who make our country great. We also provide active play and outside time on our playgrounds to provide a healthy amount of physical activity.
