Our Owners
Don and Glenda Bell
Don and Glenda have owned Links to Learning since the beginning of Links in 2005. Both remain actively involved in daily operations at both Links to Learning locations.
Don graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Don has a comprehensive background in contracting and building from his early life, and played an instrumental role in building and developing both Links to Learning Centers.
Glenda completed her formal education at the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Science degree. She also achieved a Nurse Practitioner Certification from Baylor University. Glenda worked for Mercy Health prior to retiring from her medical profession.
Both Don and Glenda served as missionaries in Zimbabwe and Mexico for more than 16 years. They have been residents of Surrey Hills since 2004. They feel blessed to be able to be involved in the development of the children of the Surrey Hills community.
Our Directors
Deneine Duroy
Deneine began her teaching career in 1988 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Since that time, Deneine has worked with children ranging in ages from infancy to middle school aged children. She taught School in the public and private learning sector for a total of 22 years and has served as a Director of Links to Learning for a total of 13 years.
She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development from Southern Nazarene University in 2002. She has utilized these skills in planning all types of educational activities and programs for the children at the childcare centers.
Deneine loves spending time with her family, especially her new granddaughter Olivia. She loves playing the piano and has shared her musical talent with many children over the years. She is an avid reader and has been known to admit “I like spending time with children way more than with grownups because kids are so honest and accepting!”
Jamie Morris
Jamie has been with Links to Learning for 15 years. She has dedicated her career to early childhood development, and has over 20 years of experience. She was recently promoted to the Director position at Links to Learning. Prior to that, Jamie has experience working with all age groups. At Links to Learning, Jamie dedicated most of her time working with our older children. Her favorite part of working with the older children is their capacity to learn and willingness to do so!
Even though she spent the majority of her time teaching the older children, that did not stop her from sneaking in hugs and snuggles from all of our children. Jamie has established strong bonds with parents over the years. Jamie has dedicated her time and work schedule to open the daycare on a daily basis and take kids to their designated rooms every morning. She’s always been a team player and always willing to do what it takes to ensure our daily operations go off without a hitch!
Jamie has been married for the last 17 years to her wonderful husband, Peter. Together they have two amazing boys. Like most boys, they’re into riding dirt bikes, fishing, wrestling, and of course video games. She loves spending time with her family and values quality time with her family and her faith above all else.
